Simply Aging (simplyaging.xyz) is a non-commercial site that presents the conceptual framework Simply aging by Vadim N. Gladyshev and a discussion of it.
Reading the site
Reading requires no account. The site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking, and all its files, including fonts, are served from this site, so your browser makes no requests to third parties. Our web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser) for security and troubleshooting; they are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify visitors.
Signing in and commenting
You can sign in with ORCID or Google to comment. We never see or store your password. We receive:
- ORCID: your ORCID iD and your name as they appear in your public ORCID record.
- Google: your name, email address and the basic profile information Google provides.
Shown publicly next to your comments: your name, your ORCID iD (if you signed in with ORCID) or the label "via Google", and the date. Your email address is never shown.
Two cookies are used, both strictly necessary: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a security cookie that protects forms. There are no tracking cookies.
Why we use this information
To show who wrote each comment and to keep the discussion usable: limits on how often one person can post, moderation, and blocking of abusive accounts. We do not sell or share your information and do not send marketing emails.
How long we keep it, and your rights
Comments remain on the site until you delete them (the Delete link under each of your comments removes it permanently), ask us to remove them, or a moderator hides them. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, including your account and all your comments, by writing to contact@simplyaging.xyz. Deleting an account deletes its comments.
Other services
Sign-in is provided by ORCID (privacy policy) and Google (privacy policy) under their own terms.
Changes
If these practices change, this page will be updated and its date changed.
